    Description

This very car is the one used in the cover art for the mid-grade adventure novel Lanie Speros & The Omega Contingency.  The car also features prominently in the book. - www.laniesperos.com
This Cadillac has been the pride of our family fleet for a couple years, and it's our designated road trip car.  It has the respected LT1 5.7L V8 and Hydramatic 700R4 automatic transmission.  We picked this car because it's a unique color combination and it's not a Brougham, which means no vinyl top outside.  It's finished in the uncommon greenish gray metallic, which is especially beautiful in the direct sun. The paint is original, and has always been kept waxed.  Similarly, the interior is in very good condition.  No rips or tears in the leather, and the dash is perfect (we keep a dash mat on it anyway).
We are the third owners. The car spent its first years locked in a garage near the ocean on the east coast, and though it wasn't driven in the winters, there is some surface rust where the paint is thin underneath because of the sea air--but no rot at all. The body and chassis are rock solid, as you can see in the pics of the bottoms of the doors. I can send additional undercarriage photos on request. The car was serviced religiously at the Cadillac dealer by the first owner, up through about 75k miles and the service history is recorded in the CarFax. We've had the car since around 80k miles.
This big Caddy runs and drives perfectly. Everything works as it should, from the windshield washers to the load-leveling air shocks, which are new.  Also new within the last year: A/C compressor, power window track guides (all four doors), belt, hoses, universal joints (shaft also balanced), mufflers, and a few other minor items.  Steering and suspension are tight, and the car tracks like a freight train on the highway. Passes California smog (emissions) inspection with no problem.
We replaced the stock Cadillac stereo head with a Pioneer unit for two reasons: (1) the old unit was glitching and needed repair, and (2) we wanted Sirius XM, Bluetooth, etc.  The new setup works wonderfully.  The dash has not been modified; the original unit will come with the vehicle if the new owner wants to make repairs/rewire, and return the car to stock condition.
There are custom front and rear center consoles with cupholders and dual USB ports.  These can be removed by the new owner if preferred, but they are a big plus on road trips.
Flaws: There are a couple nickel-sized blemishes in the clearcoat where it looks like there was some etching due to bird poop or something that sat on the paint too long.  They are hard to shoot pics of. There are a couple on the roof, one on the hood and one near the power antenna in back. You can see them in the photo of the roof. Also one blemish on the driver's door panel near the dash. This can be seen in the photos.
What does it need?  The tires are in good shape with plenty of tread and no cracking, but they are old (2012 I think) so they ought to be replaced due to age in the next couple years. The rear main seal drips a couple drops after a longer drive, but not severe.
I'm happy to arrange test drives/showings by appointment, and can work with you on arranging shipping. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
