    Description

    Offering this vintage, 1950-1960s, extra large midcentury modern set of sommerso hand blown Italian glass bookends.
    Made in Murano, Italy and attributed to Alfredo Barbini, this exquisite example of the classic apple and pear fruit form bookend in brilliant turquoise blue with royal green interior cased glass
    They both have polished pontil base bottoms, and one flat side allowing them to be displayed upright, sideway's down, or against books. Can be used as decorative objet d’arte, as paperweights or as intended as bookends (cut flat on one side to rest against book).
    Manufactured in the most prolific period - within the 21st Century during the Hollywood Regency and Mid-Century eras.
