    Firelight Hula
    "yard long" art print by Gene Pressler.
    Signed on lower right. This rare, hard to find original "yard long" print is in excellent vintage condition with vibrant colors.  There's a very small 1/4 " tear on the upper left edge. Kept out of light for over 100 years, the colors are rich and bold.
    This piece shows the hula dancer with a warm glow that comes from firelight.
    "Firelight Hula" is an excellent example showing his technique of lighting and is a
    bsolutely beautiful!
    Pressler was a popular American illustrator of the 1920s and shared the artists of the times penchant for saturated hues and idealized feminine beauty.
    These narrow prints were called “Yard Longs,” a popular format in the 1910s and 20s. They often measured around 24" x 10" and often featured movie stars and other fashionable women in exotic settings.
